We respect your right to privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal information of our Customers (your club or organisation) and the personal information processed on their behalf for their Members. We are committed to upholding the spirit and intent of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Act. This privacy policy sets out how we collect and treat your personal information.
Personal information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
2. Collection and Types of Personal Information
We collect and store different types of personal information depending on your relationship with us:
- For Customers (club or organisation representatives): This includes information provided directly to us, such as name, contact details, billing information and any other information you provide when using our services or communicating with us.
- For Members (of your club or organisation): We process this information on behalf of our Customers. The type of information collected is determined by the Customer (your club/organisation) and may include names, contact details, membership status, payment records and any other data your club collects via the Member Jungle platform.
We collect personal information from you in a variety of ways:
- Directly from you: When you interact with us electronically, via telephone or in person, or when you provide information through our website or app (e.g., in a contact form).
- From our Customers: We receive and store Member data that our Customers input into, or generate through the Member Jungle platform.
- From third parties: We may receive personal information from third parties, such as payment processes or referrers. If we do, we will protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4. Digital Interactions (Website and App)
Website Anonymous Interaction & Analytics
You may visit our websites without identifying yourself. When you access our website, we may collect certain non-identifiable information such as your device type, IP Address, browser type, operating system, website visited immediately before coming to our site, pages accessed, and how you use our site. We use this aggregated information for statistical analysis and to improve our service.
App Interaction & Device Data
When you use the Member Jungle App, we receive device-specific information such as the type of device you're using and your IP address. As the app requires a login, your usage is generally associated with your club or organisation membership. We use this aggregated and associated information to analyse how people use our app, so we can improve our service.
Cookies
Member Jungles websites use cookies. A "cookie" is a small file stored on your computer’s browser, which assists in managing customised settings of the website and delivering content. Cookies may be used to analyse website traffic and to serve relevant ads to website visitors through third-party services such as Google Adwords. You can control how your browser deals with cookies via your settings, but doing so may prevent you from taking full advantage of our website.
Member Jungle App Specific Features
We may collect additional information depending on activated app features. For example, if the Event Tracker feature is activated by your club, we will collect Location Data in both the foreground and background to show your position on a map to other event participants from your club. The data kept is transient, encrypted, collected only during the event, and is not stored ongoing. We will also collect anonymised device data to send you app notifications from your club or organisation.
Third Party Links
Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites or services. Member Jungle is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of websites that are linked to our website. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of every website that collects personal information.
5. Use of your personal information
For Customers (your Club or Organisation)
We may use personal information collected from you to provide you with information, updates and our services. We may also make you aware of new and additional products, services and opportunities available to you. We may use your personal information to improve our products and services and better understand your needs.
We may contact you by a variety of measures including, but not limited to telephone, email, sms or mail.
For Members
Member Jungle acts as a data processor for our Customers (your club or organisation). We will only use Member personal information to provide and maintain the services to your club (the Customer). We will never use Member personal information for our own marketing or product improvement purposes, and we will not contact your club members directly unless instructed by your club's authorised administrators to provide technical support (as detailed in section 7).
6. Disclosure of your personal information
We will never, ever sell your personal information to anyone.
For Customers (your Club or Organisation)
We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Personal information is only supplied to a third party when it is required for the delivery of our services to you.
We may from time to time need to disclose personal information to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request.
We may also use your personal information to protect the copyright, trademarks, legal rights, property or safety of, the proprietor of this domain, its customers or third parties.
We will also use and disclose personal information for a range of administrative, management and operational purposes. This includes:
- administering billing and payments and debt recovery;
- planning, managing, monitoring and evaluating our services;
- quality improvement activities;
- statistical analysis and reporting;
- training staff, contractors and other workers;

The Member Jungle platform and all primary member databases are hosted exclusively on servers located within Australia. However, to provide integrated services and optimise your experience, limited information may be processed by our specialised service providers. For example:
- Secure payment processing is facilitated through Stripe;
- Customer relationship management and support are managed via HubSpot;
- Member Jungle Website performance, security, advertising, and analytics are supported by tools such as Google Analytics and reCaptcha and the Facebook Pixel.
These third-party service providers may process data in countries outside of Australia, including the United States of America (USA). We take reasonable steps to ensure that these global partners adhere to privacy standards consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer to the extent permissible at law our business customer database, together with any personal information and non-personal information contained in those databases. This information may be disclosed to a potential purchaser under an agreement to maintain confidentiality. We would seek to only disclose information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.
By providing us with personal information, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the types of disclosure covered by this Policy. Where we disclose your personal information to third parties, we will request that the third party follow this Policy regarding handling your personal information.

For Customers (your Club or Organisation)
We are committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
The transmission and exchange of information is carried out at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, or receive from us. Although we take measures to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personal information that we collect will not be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
For Members
Your personal information is stored on our platform, but it is ultimately the responsibility of your club (the Customer). Authorised Club Administrators will have full access to your personal information via the platform.
Member Jungle’s support team may need to access your personal information to resolve any technical issues, but only upon instructions from your club or organisation.
Please note that this Member Jungle Privacy Policy applies only to how we secure and handle your personal information. Your club's own Privacy Policy governs their use, management, and disclosure of your personal information, and you should review it for a complete understanding of your privacy rights.

For Customers (your Club or Organisation)
You may request details of personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of the Act. A small administrative fee may be payable for the provision of information. If you would like a copy of the information which we hold about you or believe that any information we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please email us at supportteam@memberjungle.com.au.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with information that we hold about you, in certain circumstances set out in the Act.

9. Complaints about privacy
If you have any complaints about our privacy practices, please feel free to send in details of your complaints to supportteam@memberjungle.com.au. We take complaints very seriously and will respond shortly after receiving written notice of your complaint.
10. Changes to Privacy Policy
Please be aware that we may change this Privacy Policy in the future. We may modify this Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, and all modifications will be effective immediately upon our posting of the modifications on our website.
