Using Custom Datasets for Your Car Club
Member Jungle is now offering an all-in-one solution for car clubs that can save time and reduce the manual processes involved in managing car information. The Member Jungle Custom Datasets functionality has proven to be a success amongst car clubs where members' car data can be stored along with each member's profile.
Administrators can create a custom set of fields (a dataset) to collect the information required for members' cars, such as the cars make, model, registration number and expiry date and even a photo. The dataset can be given a limit, so that each membership product can allow a different number of cars to be added to the membership, therefore allowing pricing on a per/car basis if required.
This dataset is then available for your members to add their car details when they join or renew, via an “Add Car” button in the membership form. It is also accessible to members in a dedicated tab in their membership area. Admins can view the members’ car data in this tab in each member's profile.
The latest Member Jungle App release brings this great functionality to the mobile app as well. Members will soon be able to view, add and edit their custom information and see when their permits and registrations expire from the convenience of their smartphone.
The reporting that is available with the Custom Datasets is powerful. Administrators can run reports on the database in a dedicated reporting area and;
-
search the custom fields for specific data (eg; search for registrations or permits that are due to expire)
-
build a custom report containing only the information from the fields that are required
-
or run a detailed report on the full dataset.
All reports can be viewed on screen and exported to CSV on command.
The Custom Datasets is a great solution for car clubs, big and small. It combines the functionality of a car database with your member database, while automating both processes to make the administrator's job of managing your members easy. To find out more about custom datasets please contact us.
