As you likely already know, I write a lot of articles for Member Jungle, including articles about how to get the most out of Member Jungle, trends in membership management, and important developments that will affect clubs and associations. Without sounding like an egomaniac, I’d like to think I'm pretty decent at it. At the very least, I’m good at coming up with contrived reasons to ramble about weird animals or random facts that I find interesting.
For example, the law stating that you can only call your sparkling wine Champagne if it comes from the Champagne region was signed into existence as part of the Treaty of Versailles.

However, sometimes what you want is a detailed look at how to do something very specific in Member Jungle, such as setting up a new membership level, arranging content blocks, or creating custom tickets for an event. In those cases, what you probably need isn’t me; what you need is the tech heads behind the scenes at Member Jungle, explaining exactly how to use the features of the systems they helped design.
That is where the Member Jungle Help Portal comes into play. So, today, let’s take a look at the Member Jungle Help Portal, what it is, how it can help, and why you should be using it.
What Is The Member Jungle Help Portal?
I’d like to think that the Member Jungle Learning Centre is a bit like the QI Book of General Ignorance, while the Member Jungle Help Portal is basically the Encyclopædia Britannica.

Both are great and will help you learn a lot, but one is better for practical matters.
The Member Jungle Help Portal is a website featuring videos and hundreds of articles that explain how to use every part of the Member Jungle system. What makes them so valuable is that they are all written by our tech and development team members. Meaning that it’s the people who designed the ticketing system explaining how to use the ticketing system.
If you have a question about Member Jungle, no matter what it is, you can find the answers on the Help Portal. You can browse by categories, such as Events, Membership, FAQS, etc., or simply use the search bar to find what you’re after.

How The Member Jungle Support Articles Can Help You
Make no mistake, the Learning Centre and the articles on it are very useful, and I do cover a lot of similar stuff. However, when I cover it, it’s more of a top-down overview; what a thing is, why it’s helpful, and why you should use it. Meanwhile, the Support articles delve into the intricate details of how to use it. In the ideal world, you’d hear about group memberships, for example, from one of my articles, but then go to the Help Portal to find out all the nitty gritty details on actually using them.
Just look at the amount of detail in this little excerpt from one of the help articles.

All the articles are written like that, just chock-full of all the information you could possibly need. You can imagine just how useful having a resource like that at your disposal can be. I say this from experience, too. I have a personal website that Member Jungle hosts, but I set it up myself using the system. Now, I am really not a tech person, and there were several occasions when I couldn’t remember how to use content widgets or how to set up a mailing list or whatever. Each time, I would just jump on the help portal, search for whatever I was looking for, and find detailed instructions immediately. So I can say from experience that the Member Jungle Help Articles are a great resource that can really help you.
I know I’m giving it a bit of the hard sell here, but we don’t get anything out of you using these articles; it doesn’t make us money, it just makes your life easier. So, whether you use the Support Portal or not, it only affects you. Do what you like, but as someone who has used it to help with setting up and maintaining a site with Member Jungle, I can only recommend it.
