How Member Jungle’s New Login & Renewal Process Works
At Member Jungle, we’re dedicated to continually enhancing the services we offer to our customers. One of the ways we achieve this is through our monthly product releases, which introduce new features and improvements to the Member Jungle system. We’re thrilled to announce that our latest product release is now live. It features a revamped login and renewal process that makes it even easier for people to join your organisation, log in, and renew their memberships.
Now, let’s dive into this new login system and explore how it works.
Improved Login, Sign Up & Renew Process
To help limit confusion when it comes to members using your site, we have added new buttons to the top header of the website. So when someone clicks on your website, they will see login, renew, and join buttons, allowing them to navigate directly to what they need.
If they click 'Join Now', the join section will appear on the left as the first thing they see.
This will simplify things and reduce the number of clicks needed to join, and it will help minimise confusion when a current member forgets to log in and accidentally tries to sign up as a new member. This also comes with a few gentle prompts to guide members to log in if they accidentally create a new account.
Ultimately, this will lead to less confusion and make the experience of joining or logging into your club or association better and easier for your members.
Improvements To The Sign-Up System
So now, when a new member clicks ‘Join Now’, they will be taken straight to the page displaying the Join Now option. There are a few improvements here, too, so let’s cover them.
They will be asked to enter their email address earlier in the process and must confirm it via a one-time code sent to their email. This extra step is crucial. It allows for collecting information about potential members sooner, so if they don’t sign up, you have their name and email address so you can reach out to them and/or market to them. Additionally, since it prompts them to confirm their email address, any mistakes made while entering their email will be caught at this stage.
It’s not uncommon for someone to make a typo when entering their email address, then proceed through the entire sign-up process without realising it, only to pay for a membership without ever receiving confirmation because they entered the wrong email. No one wants irate calls from those who want to be members, have paid for it, but cannot log in due to a simple typo. This new step prevents that issue by immediately ensuring their email is correct.
New Membership Level Organisation & Widgets
Firstly, when a new member tries to sign up and is asked to select a membership level, there will no longer be a default membership level already preselected. We found that too many people were just skipping this step and signing up for the default level of membership without looking at what it was. Now, new members will have to select which membership level and product they want to join from a visual display so they can easily choose and join the right one. Speaking of joining a new membership level, there is a new interface and new widgets displaying membership levels and products when a member signs up.
If you have more than five membership levels, the list below will show how your levels and products will display to new members as a default.
Here, your potential members will be able to select the membership level and product they wish to sign up for. If you have more than five membership levels, products, and levels will be displayed in an accordion as above, with search functionality. However, five or fewer membership levels will display in a comparison carousel like the one shown below.
You can choose whether or not you want the membership level description to display, too.
You can also have this information displayed on your membership page or any page as a widget. As with other widgets, you can move them around on your page, too. So, you can have a carousel or accordion of membership levels and products in the header, footer or either side of your sign-up page, depending on what you think looks best.
They also display the price and duration of your membership products, whether they are an auto-renewing subscription. Making it even clearer to your members what they are signing up for.
Membership Renewal Simplified
The final improvement is to the renewal system. When members log in to their accounts, if their membership is due for renewal, they will now renew it from their ‘Memberships’ tab. If their membership is up for renewal, the section that contains their membership card and details will be highlighted in red, and a ‘Renew Now’ button will appear at the top of it. As seen below.
Once they click to renew, they will see a list of all the membership products available at their selected level that they can renew. Their current product will have a small star next to it.
