You've Asked We've Listened: All The New Event Features At Member Jungle

Evolution is the relentless force of nature that drives forward all life on earth. Evolution has also cut us a huge break by making octopuses (yes, that’s the correct plural) quite short-lived. 

Octopuses are incredibly smart. They can use tools, recognise people, and solve advanced problems. But unlike humans, each octopus has to figure these things out on its own, as they don't live long enough to teach their young. If they lived longer and could share knowledge as we do, we’d probably be ruled over by our cephalopod overlords.  

 

 

Anyway, I’m not actually here today to blab on how evolution has saved us from being ruled over by tentacled super geniuses; instead, I am here to talk about how Member Jungle evolved in 2024. 

Over the final part of 2024, Member Jungle decided to focus on improving our event system. In doing so, we looked at the feature suggestions you, our customers, put in for ways you’d like to see the event system improved. Then, our development team worked their fingers down to the bone, making more than 50 of them a reality. 

New Event Features 2024

In the final quarter of 2024, the Member Jungle team introduced a slew of new features to the system, specifically designed to make events easier to run. As I mentioned, they made over 50 feature suggestions a reality in the process. 

Some of these new event features include: 

• Recurring Club Events 
• Set Event Ticket Discounts In Dollars
• Allow Decimal Points for Discount Percentages
• Role Restricted Event Tickets & Products
• Publicly Promoted Events With Member-Only Tickets
• View Event Attendees On Your Website 
• New Event Contributor Role Permissions 
• Past Events Widget
• More Detailed Attendance Reports
• Event Type And Category Filtering To The Member Jungle App
• Option to Remaining Available Tickets
• Event Pending Payments Widget
• Better Organised Event Lists
• Ability To Edit Text On “Buy Tickets” Button
• Start Event Calendar On Sunday Or Monday

These are just a few of the new event features that were developed for the Member Jungle system at the end of 2024.

From Feature Suggestions To Reality 

As you know, the Member Jungle team is dedicated to continuously improving and enhancing the system to make it more user-friendly. Each month, we release a new Product Release that includes new features and fixes. These often include new features that started out as suggestions from customers because we don’t want to just evolve the system pointlessly without any plan for its future viability; that’s how you end up with a panda. We want to evolve the system to be better specifically for those who use it. 

By raising feature suggestions, you are helping Member Jungle become better suited to your needs and the needs of clubs and associations like yours. 

If anyone is upset that I called the panda an example of pointless evolution, evolution doesn’t always end in success. In fact, many species throughout the history of Earth have reached an evolutionary dead end and died out. Pandas are 100-plus kilo bears with the digestive system of a carnivore, yet they only eat toxic bamboo stalks with the nutritional value of a memory of a salad, and they refuse to mate. I’m 100% of the opinion that they are an evolutionary dead end and that we are too stubborn to let go. 

 

 

To be clear, I really like Pandas, and I don’t want them to go extinct; I just think they want to go extinct.

So, that was a quick look at how we at Member Jungle paid attention to your needs and improved the system to better support your club or association. I would strongly encourage you to pay attention to upcoming Product Releases and raise suggestions when you have them, and together, we can keep Member Jungle evolving in the right direction.
