Where Are Neon One & Member Jungle Based?
Neon One is an American software platform founded in 2018 and is run out of Chicago.
Telligence was founded in 1997 in Newcastle, Australia and since 2016 has been operating as Member Jungle.

In today’s globalised world, where a system is physically based is not a big deal; at most, it only really affects the time zones that support is in and the accent you hear on the phone. The countries that the companies are based in will also affect the data safety laws that the companies have to comply with, but both the US and Australia have quite strict data laws, so there is not too big a difference there.
The Core Focus Of Neon One & Member Jungle
Neon One and Member Jungle are broadly similar but acutely different systems, like how the 100kg Boerboel that’s been bred to protect livestock from lions and leopards, and the Greyhound capable of running at 70+km/h are technically the same species.

Both Neon One and Member Jungle operate in the membership software space, streamlining and automating key functions:
- Running events
- Membership renewals
- Email marketing
- Data reporting
- Online payments
Where they differ, however, is what they are designed to specialise in. They are built with different users and different primary financial goals in mind.
Neon One has been designed and optimised specifically to support charities and non-profits. Its fundamental mission is to support nonprofits by providing tools that make accepting donations, tracking donor histories, managing grants, and optimising fundraising campaigns easier.
Member Jungle has been designed specifically to help associations and larger clubs manage their memberships more effectively. It focuses on tools that simplify administrative tasks, such as automated renewals, compliance reporting, CPD tracking, online course delivery, and member retention through an integrated mobile app.

How Much Does Neon One & Member Jungle Cost?
Despite the differences in what each system specialises in pricing-wise, they are about on par with one another. The key difference in this department is how each company breaks up their different packages.
Both systems have more advanced features in more expensive packages, which makes sense. You pay more, you get access to more specialised and advanced features.
- Neon One divides its packages by revenue. If you exceed the specified annual revenue threshold, you must upgrade to a more expensive package.
- Member Jungle divides its packages by active members. If you have more members than are included in a level, you can either upgrade to a more expensive package or just pay for more members in lots of 100.
Neither company counts or charges you for marketing contacts, i.e., people you email and market to, but aren’t active members.
It's important to note that Neon One charges separately for its related services, including its websites and fundraising system. They do offer a discount if you purchase one of their other products. If you are subscribed to their management system, the website pricing starts at $69 USD per month, with additional one-time fees depending on the number of pages of content you want on your site. Their fundraising system starts at $158 USD per month.
In contrast, Member Jungle follows an integrated approach aimed at operational simplicity. The website is fully included in the base subscription price, and core tools like the Mobile App and Digital Cards are integrated into the main platform.
When budgeting for Neon One, remember to factor in additional website and fundraising fees if those services are required by your organisation.

If you want my two cents, these systems are really designed for different markets. Neon One is for charities that are focused on taking donations and raising funds, as well as managing their members.
