How Your Membership Works: Now Your Club Uses Member Jungle
You’ve probably heard by now that your club signing up to use Member Jungle will make things a lot easier for you as a member. Specifically, it’s going to make managing your membership easier. However, you may not have heard too many specific details yet.
So, today, let’s look at exactly how managing your membership via the Member Jungle system works.
In this article, we will cover:
- Logging in as a member on your club’s website
- Changing your details
- Viewing your membership expiry date and renewing your membership
- Accessing and using your digital membership cards
Logging In As A Member On Your Club’s Website
The first step to logging in as a member on your club’s website is to go to your club’s website as you would normally do. I know that sounds really basic, but sometimes people hear that their club has signed up to Member Jungle, and they come to our website in an attempt to find their club.
You don’t need to do that. In fact, you never need to come to the Member Jungle website. You can treat Member Jungle exactly like I treat Coconut Crabs. Understand that they are a crucial part of the ecosystem, but go through my day-to-day life pretending they don’t exist. If you’ve never seen one of these scuttling nightmares, you’ll understand why I pretend they don’t exist.
I digress; the first step to logging in as a member is to go to your club’s website. So, just Google the name of your club. Once on your club’s website, look for the log-in button, which will likely be on the homepage's top right-hand side. There is a chance your club may have moved it to a different spot, but chances are it won’t be hard to find.
Once you click on the log-in button, you will be taken to a page where you can enter your username and password to log in.
If you don’t know what your username and password is yet, check your emails. Your club will send you an email containing your username for the new system and details on how to create a password to log in. If you have lost the email that they sent you but believe that you do have an account, you can follow the forgot username and password prompts on the login screen.
Once you’ve logged in, you will be able to see the member-only parts of your club’s website, update your details, check when your membership expires and much more. So, let’s talk about some of those things.
Changing & Updating Your Details
Once you’re logged in to your club’s website, you should look for and select the “Membership” option from the website’s menu. It will likely be located on the Navigation bar at the top of the website. You can see this in action on the site of the Northern Rivers Bushwalkers Club.
Once you log in, you'll see a variety of options, including Account, Security, Emails, Membership, Events and more. Click on Account, and then select the Edit your details option.
This will take you to a page where you can easily update your information. So, if you move, change your email address, or need to update any other details, you can quickly do so here.
It's that simple. Log in, click membership, then account then update whatever information you need to.
Viewing Your Membership Expiry Date & Renewing Your Membership
So now you know how to log in to your club’s website and update your details, let’s cover how to work out when your membership is due for renewal.
I’m not sure how this worked before your club signed up to Member Jungle, but now there is no need to email your admins to ask them when your membership is up for renewal. All you need to do is go to the membership tab of your membership page. Here, you will be able to see some of your key account details on the left and your membership details on the right.
On the right-hand side of your page, you will see the following details:
- Your member number
- Your membership level
- Your membership expiry date
- A preview of your digital membership card
- A button to view your membership details
- If your membership is coming up for renewal, you will be able to see a button to renew your membership
This page will allow you to easily view your membership details, when it’s up for renewal, and to renew your membership.
When you need to renew your membership, you can visit this page, click the “Renew Now” button, and follow the steps from there. You can then renew and pay for your membership quickly and easily via the website or the mobile app. In total, it should probably take less than five minutes.
Also, don’t worry; renewing your membership in time is not completely up to you. When your membership is coming up for renewal, your club or association will send you a couple of emails alerting you to the fact that your membership is up for renewal and containing links to renew your membership.
So, you can check your renewal date and renew your membership at any time by logging in to your club’s website, and you can also take comfort from the fact that your club will reach out to you and remind you to renew when the time comes.
It’s worth noting that all of the above features and functions can be done via the Member Jungle mobile app. This makes checking your membership expiry, renewing your membership and updating personal details much easier and more convenient than trying to do it all from the website. Particularly, if you are attempting to navigate the website on your phone.
How To Get Access To Your Digital Membership Card
Digital membership cards are part of the service that Member Jungle provides to your club or association. These digital cards make it easier and more convenient for you to identify yourself as a member, check into events and reap the benefits of your membership.
When your club or association joins Member Jungle, you'll receive an email with a link to download your digital membership card. This email will also contain your username and a link to set up your password. It may also include a QR code that you can scan to download the app if you haven't already.
To unlock the full potential of your digital card, download the Member Jungle app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. With the app, you can:
- Display your card for quick verification.
- Use the built-in QR code for speedy check-ins at events.
- Add your card to your Apple or Google Wallet for easy access.
