Beyond The Usual Suspects: The Unexpected & Amazing Clubs Thriving On Member Jungle
What do fighter jet test pilots, Mini drivers, fabric embroiders, biosafety experts and a few hundred Danish people in Brisbane all have in common?
They use Member Jungle to help run their club or association.
When I first joined the Member Jungle team just over two years ago, I had no idea about the range of clubs and associations that were out there. Back then, I would have assumed that there were sports clubs, car and bike clubs, book clubs and associations for medical professionals, and that would have been about it.
However, the last two years have opened my eyes to the insane variety of clubs, associations and societies that exist worldwide and right here with Member Jungle. So, today, let’s take a quick look at some of the fun, incredible, and diverse members of the Member Jungle family for no other reason than admiring this diverse and interesting group of people. You never know; you might just find a club you want to sign up for.
Before we get started, however, I want to quickly address any members of the Danish Club of Brisbane (or any other Danish people) who happen to be reading this. Firstly, thank you for Pålægschokolade. I have incredibly fond memories of those as a child, so thank you. Secondly, thank you for these two. They are undoubtedly my favourite actor and director ever.
Anyway, let’s all try our best to tear our eyes off Mikkelsen’s cheekbones and get on with the article proper.
Who Uses Member Jungle?
As of the beginning of 2025, over 400 clubs and associations use Member Jungle to manage just over 160,000 total members. That means that roughly the same number of people are using Member Jungle as there are Red-Knobbed Imperial Pigeons in the world. A bird, whom I only used as a reference point because its lowest population estimates are about the same as the number of people using Member Jungle.
The point is that a lot of people, clubs, and associations use Member Jungle to manage their organisations. So, let’s meet some of them.
From Bikers To Hikers
Member Jungle is home to a huge variety of motorcycle clubs and hiking/bushwalking clubs. From multiple Harley Owners Groups, Vintage Japanese Motorcycles, Northern Rivers Bushwalkers Club and much more.
These clubs organise various activities, including multi-day hikes, camping trips, coastal cruises, and large motorcycle gatherings. The way they travel may differ in volume, but both types of clubs host numerous events that cover a large distance. Consequently, both groups are big users of Member Jungle’s events module and mobile app, which help them organise their activities and stay in contact with one another during events, no matter how spread out their members may become.
From Top Guns To Little Ones
Member Jungle also hosts children’s playgroups such as the Manjimup Family Centre, alongside high-flying organisations like the Flight Test Society of Australia and the Australian Ballooning Federation. Both groups utilise the same system to manage their vastly different organisations.
From Classic Cars To Drinks At the Bar
A huge range of car clubs use Member Jungle to help manage their clubs, their vintage plate database, their classic car database and more. Clubs like the Australian Street Rod Federation, Historic Rally Association and 4WD Qld. Member Jungle is also used by several licensed bars and clubs to help them manage their members and give their members discounts on food and drinks at the bar. Clubs like Club Merewether, Coffs Harbour Yacht Club and Lorne Country Club.
From Jagdgebrauchshundverein To… um, To… Okay seriously what rhymes with that?
Okay, I see that some context is needed here, Jagdgebrauchshundverein is a club called the North America Jagdgebrauchshundverein. Oh, that’s still not enough context?
Okay, Jagdgebrauchshundverein is German for Hunting Dog Club. Which, to be very clear, is a club devoted to breeding and training traditional German hunting dogs.
Member Jungle is home to a massive range of animal clubs, everything from hunting dogs to the Canine Obedience Club Townsville to the Upper Murray Horseman’s Association, the Australian Miniature Horse Society and a whole lot more.
From Chambers To Star Gazers
A sizeable number of professional organisations use Member Jungle, from chambers of commerce to medical associations, astronomical societies and advocacy groups, from the Association of Biosafety for Australia and New Zealand to the Cave Divers Association of Australia to the Australian Hand Therapy Association and many more.
These groups vary massively in size and area of focus, but they all use the Member Jungle system to help organise and manage their associations and businesses.
Sports Clubs, Men’s Sheds, Museums, Bird Watchers, Gyms, Spas, & So Many More
Honestly, I could spend the rest of today writing about the wide range of clubs and associations that use Member Jungle to help them run their organisations smoother and more manageable. Soccer clubs, netball clubs, rugby clubs, shooting clubs, archery clubs, builders' associations, apprenticeship networks, museums, garden clubs, international sailors, old boys clubs, nurses, golfers, surfers and a lot more, but I think you get the point.
I hope you found that at least mildly enjoyable and maybe even found an organisation or two that you're interested in. Personally, I really want to join one of the clubs I mentioned, but they are several hours away from me, so I'll just sit around and sulk.
Can Member Jungle Work For Your Club Or Association?
Look, every club and association is different. They have different needs, different structures, different licensing and reporting requirements. So despite the wide range of organisations that use Member Jungle, I can’t promise it’s going to be the right fit for you.
However, it is a very adaptable software, so anything is possible. If you want to find out if it is right for you, reach out to our sales team and ask them. They will be more than happy to help you.
