5 Questions You Should Answer During Your Member Jungle Trial
Free product trials are an excellent opportunity to explore software or services without any commitment. They allow you to fully experience the features, benefits, and drawbacks of the product and make an informed decision. However, sometimes users, including myself, may feel they need help with how to make the most of a free trial.
I've had this experience, too. I once signed up for a free trial of a note-taking app to get more organised. Although I liked the app and even purchased it, I only ended up using it a little. After a year, I realised I still preferred writing notes on my hand. Looking back, I would have been better off investing in one of those handy notepad tattoos.
Though knowing me, if I got one I'd probably just lose my arm.
However, all this nonsense could have been avoided if I had just gone into that initial free trial with some clear questions I needed to answer. Unsurprisingly, that is exactly what we’ll be talking about today: questions that you should aim to answer in your Member Jungle trial to be able to make the best decision for your club or association.
Why You Need Clear Questions Going Into Your Trial
Member Jungle is designed to replace many of your club's systems and processes and be the main thing you need to rely on to manage your club. As such, Member Junge isn't small, and there are a fair few different parts of the system you need to check out. This can make the trial seem a little much, but I promise you it really isn't. All you need to do is have a set few questions you need to answer going in, and you will be sorted.
These questions are key pieces of information you should get about a system like Member Jungle before you make a decision. By setting out the things that are important for you to know, you can make a better decision and give yourself a guide to what you should check out in the trial, helping make things more straightforward for you.
So, without further ado, let's get to the questions. Please bear in mind that these are just the questions I'd recommend asking. You may want to alter or replace these to suit your club or association better.
These questions are:
- Does Member Jungle Have All The Features Your Club Needs?
- Does Member Jungle Address The Current Problems Your Club Is Facing?
- What Will Member Jungle Save Your Club?
- Is There a Missing Feature You Would Like?
- What Is The Cost Of Not Signing Up?
1. Does Member Jungle Have All The Features Your Club Needs?
The first question you should set yourself to investigate is whether the Member Jungle system does all the things you need it to do. You will likely be coming into this with a few key things you know you need your new system to do, like automating membership renewals, streamlining event management, supplying you with a website, etc. The first thing you should do is write down a list of all of the functionality and capabilities that are on your wishlist. Then, look through your Member Jungle trial and see if those capabilities are there and if they can do what you need them to.
This could be as simple as looking at our automated membership renewal system, seeing that it allows you to automate renewals, take both online and manual payments, export payment data into accounting software, and then ticking it off your list. Or it might be looking at our automated membership renewal system, seeing that it doesn’t do something you need, and crossing it out.
As a starting point, these are all the specific modules in the Member Jungle system:
- Banner Ads
- Blogs
- CPD Log
- Chat Rooms
- Course Module
- Business Directory
- Email & SMS Campaign
- Events
- Membership
- Member Jungle App
- News & Updates
- Online Store
- Photo Gallery
- Online Polls and Voting
- Positions Vacant
- PowerData Forms
- Resource Library
- Video Uploads Library
The ones that are hyperlinks will take you to helpful articles about those modules to help make your inquiries easier.
2. Does Member Jungle Address The Current Problems Your Club Is Facing?
When you started looking for a membership management system to assist you in running your club or association, you probably did so because you encountered a few problems. Now is the time to think back over those initial problems; were you losing members, losing volunteers, losing the love of running your club? It doesn’t really matter as long as you know what those problems are.
You should now examine how the Member Jungle system will or won’t help with these problems. For example, if one of your problems is losing volunteers, implementing a system like Member Jungle will streamline operations, save volunteers a lot of time and effort, and ultimately solve this problem. For more details on that particular problem, please read How To Keep Your Club Running As Volunteer Rates Drop.
So write down a list of any and all club-related problems you are facing and see how Member Jungle is able to help with them. Again, this is a great way to start your trial with purpose and help ensure you make a decision you can stand behind.

3. What Will Member Jungle Save Your Club?
Another question that you need to answer is, what will Member Jungle be able to save your club? Basically, we are talking about time, money and effort here. Will using Member Jungle save your club time? If so, how much of it will it be able to save you? Obviously, Member Jungle costs money, but where will it allow you to cut costs and actually save money? These are the sorts of questions you should ask yourself during your trial.
Now, you will probably have addressed some of these questions, especially those around cost, before you decided to sign up for the trial. However, there is definitely room to answer some of these questions here. Maybe you are already using an event management or email marketing system and aren’t sure whether you’ll keep using them or switch over to the ones provided by Member Jungle. Well, your trial is the perfect time to check out and compare the systems and work out where you can save money.
So, set aside some time to go through the trial and work out what systems and processes Member Jungle will be able to replace and how much time, money and effort you’ll save.
4. Is There a Missing Feature You Would Like?
Member Jungle is a big system that can do a lot of things, but can it do absolutely everything you want it to? You should definitely know the answer to that question. So spend some time in the trial and check out the system to see if it is missing any functionality or features you want.
Let us know if Member Jungle is missing a feature you wish it had. We have a full-time development team at Member Jungle who are continuously improving and adding to the system; there's a chance that the feature you're after is already in the development pipeline.
Also, Member Jungle allows customers to lodge official Feature Suggestions for features and functionality they want to see become a reality. This doesn't guarantee that your suggestion will become a reality, but it could be made if we think it will help enough people.
All that said, you may find a feature missing that you can't live without. You can't rely on the possibility that it might happen via a Feature Suggestion down the line. Well then, perhaps we aren't the right choice for you, but it's better for you to realise this now rather than after signing up. So, have a good look through the Member Jungle trial to check if it will do everything you want it to.

5. What Is The Cost Of Not Signing Up?
Chances are your club is currently facing challenges, which is likely why you started searching for a membership management system in the first place. The question you need to ask yourself here is what the consequences will be if you don’t sign up. Will those problems continue to get worse? How else will you try and solve them if not with Member Jungle?
Now, this isn’t meant to be fear-mongering; I’m not trying to go all Vito Corleone and make you an offer you can’t refuse.
I’m just saying that you also need to consider the consequences of choosing not to change anything, as the problems you’re currently facing will still need to be dealt with.
