2025 Member Jungle Wrap-Up

Date:

The Member Jungle 2025 wrap-up highlights a year of significant software updates and continuous development, reinforcing the system's commitment to remaining cutting-edge. Key new features included robust security upgrades like 2FA via authenticator apps and enhanced security system audits, alongside improvements to the sign-up and renewal processes.

A whole lot of wild things happened in 2025; here is just a brief recap of the highlights.

It was a big year for independent films, with Anora and The Brutalist winning big at the Oscars. In music, Kendrick Lamar showed, between his Super Bowl halftime show and his five Grammy wins, that we are not hating hard enough.

In the world of science and technology, there are a host of breakthroughs and discoveries, including infrared contact lenses that allow people to see in the dark, and rapid advances in life-like AI-generated videos. Recently, astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy captured an amazing image of a skydiver against the backdrop of the sun.

The image on the left is a still from an entirely AI video, and the image on the right is a real photograph.

In the sports world, the British & Irish Lions toured Australia for the first time in 12 years, with over 450,000 people attending the games live. Plus, Janja Garnbret continued to be the most extraordinary thing in the sports climbing world.

That’s what happened in the wider world this year, but today, let’s look at what happened at Member Jungle over 2025.

What New Features Did Member Jungle Release In 2025?

Member Jungle is built on a promise of continuous product development to ensure your system always remains modern, secure, and helpful. This past year was no different; the Member Jungle development team was hard at work releasing a host of great new features and fixes.

  • Email Snippets: Allows admins to save and reuse content blocks for quick, consistent welcome messages and event reminders.

  • Security System Audit: Provides enhanced auditing features that track changes to sensitive user data, boosting accountability.

  • Improved Sign-Up & Renewal System: Streamlined the entire member journey to reduce abandonment rates and simplify the renewal process even further.

  • 2FA codes available via app & SMS: Expanded options for two-factor authentication (2FA), allowing codes via SMS or a free push notification to the Member Jungle app.

  • 2FA Via Authenticator Apps: Enabled the use of external tools like Google Authenticator or 1Password for administrators, providing the highest level of login security

  • Cut over to new Database: The Development Team has recently completed the monumental task of migrating all sites hosted by Member Jungle to a new database. This modern database will enhance your site's responsiveness and loading speed, improve stability, and reduce downtime. Additionally, it will enable us to further enhance the system in the years to come.

There were a lot more features added in 2025, but those are some of the headline ones. Just as crucial as new features is the system's underlying stability. The Development Team has been hard at work this year improving the servers and the code that the Member Jungle system and our customers' websites run on. This work ensures that your website is faster, more responsive and has less downtime.

What Happened At Member Jungle In 2025

2025 was a busy year at Member Jungle, so busy in fact, I forgot half of what happened until I sat down to write this.

In January, we moved into a new office in the historic Elder Street, Lambton. You can read all about the building’s unique past here: Ghosts, Miners, and Now Member Jungle: The Story of 87 Elder Street. In that article, I mention that there have been rumours of ghost hauntings in the building. A full year later, I can say I have noticed two odd moments in the office, but nothing that comes anywhere near to changing my mind that ghosts are categorically not a real thing.

Member Jungle presented at two conferences during 2025, with Leigh Clover and Renee Krischer running a booth at The Associations Forum’s National Conference. And Leigh Clover giving a presentation at the Associations Forum’s Association Databases & System Summit.

Beyond our physical events, there has been a lot of extra filming and videos coming out of the Member Jungle offices. We have been working hard to make more content in the way that people prefer to consume it, ensuring our training and explanations are easy to access and follow.

2025 Case Studies on Member Jungle Customers

In 2025, I met with two different Member Jungle customers to find out how they have found using Member Jungle to help run their organisations. This included heading down to Sydney to meet with Simon Kennedy, the President of the Australian Association of Voice Actors and jumping on a video call to WA to talk to Ruth Phillips, the Manager of Manjimup Family Centre

If you want to check out either case study, you can find them below.

I’d just like to say thank you again to Simon and Ruth for taking the time out of their very busy lives to talk to me. I really appreciate it.

What We Have In Store For 2026

Next year is going to be a big year. The Development Team is working hard on a whole lot of new features and tweaks aimed at making the system even better and able to make managing your membership easier than ever before.

As far as articles go, there will be plenty more to come in the year ahead. I’ll be covering all sorts of important topics essential to membership management in this ever-changing, rapidly AI-filled world, from the latest in automation tools to cutting-edge engagement strategies. And along the way, I’ll do my best to keep it fun and probably end up spending too long talking about weird animals and obscure history.

Seriously, though, the secretary bird is so wild, it is a specialised snake hunter, its Latin name is Sagittarius serpentarius, which basically means snake archer, and for some reason it looks like a supermodel.

What We Have In Store For 2026

Why does it look like that? I have seen Victoria’s Secret models that haven’t looked as good.

My point is, next year’s going to be a good one, and we are going to make sure you have every tool and every piece of knowledge you need to make 2026 your most successful and efficient year yet.
