2024 Member Jungle Wrap-Up

A lot of amazing things went down in 2024; here is just a brief overview of some of the highlights.

Oppenheimer cleaned up at the Oscars, with wins for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor and in three more categories. Meanwhile, Killer Mike swept the Grammys, winning Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.

In the tech world, AI programs continue to grow rapidly in popularity, quality and number as everyone and their dog came out with new AI programs this year. New leaps forward in battery technology have been made, with calcium and water batteries being invented. Both are cheaper, greener and more efficient than lithium batteries, and the water batteries even have an indefinite lifespan, meaning they can be recharged over and over indefinitely.

In the sporting world, we saw Paris hold the Olympics and Paralympics, and we’re both filled with amazing moments. From Simone Biles continuing to be the greatest Olympic athlete in history, the world's most casual sports shooter, and a break dancer so terrible that an entire nation felt embarrassed. Meanwhile, Dricus Du Plessis won and defended South Africa’s First UFC World Championship with two legendary Boks by his side.

Today, we will not focus on what happened in the wider world; instead, we will focus on what Member Jungle got up to in 2024 and how it can keep helping your club or association in the coming year.

I know this might not sound like the most interesting article. Still, I promise this article will be useful to you. I will do my best to make it as interesting and entertaining as possible. So, without any further ado, let’s get into it.

What New Features Did Member Jungle Release In 2024?

Member Jungle is committed to improving its membership management system by constantly releasing new features and upgrades to make it better than ever before. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Member Jungle development team, this year has been no different.

There are genuinely too many new features and improvements to go over in one article, so let’s just focus on the big headline features from last year.

Here are just some of the best new features that hit Member Jungle in 2024:

The online store on the mobile app - Members can now purchase products from your online store via the mobile app.
Take digital payments in person via the mobile app - You can now use the mobile app to take digital payments in person without a POS system.
Member Tags - Create member tag groups to easily sort and filter your membership base.
Colour-coded event types - Assign different types of events in different colours to make sorting events easier.
Single month event calendar - Add an event calendar widget to display your different coloured upcoming events.
JungleVision AI - Generate your own AI images directly from your club’s site and insert them straight into your events, blogs and emails.
New one-click unsubscribe to all emails - This is to keep in compliance with Google and Yahoo’s new bulk email-sending requirements.
Afterpay added to Member Jungle - You can now choose to accept Afterpay payments from your members with Member Jungle.
Revamped blog widgets - New, more aesthetically pleasing layouts for blog pages.
Digital membership cards on Apple and Google Wallets - Member Jungle’s digital membership cars are now available on Apple and Google Wallets.
Recurring events - Set up events to repeat at set intervals as many times as you want, streamlining event organisation.
Publicly promote events with member-only tickets - Make event pages and event calendars publicly available, but keep your tickets locked down to members only.

The truth is that I’ve probably left out some big new features there, but with so many going live, there was just not enough space to include them all here. I will be making a full list of all new Member Jungle features that came out in 2024 early next year, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

The Member Jungle Tribe Got A Little Bit Bigger

Member Jungle remains a small, dedicated team, but this year, we welcomed one new part-time employee to help us with our video and social media content.

Miller joined the team and has been doing a fantastic job creating videos and social media posts for us this year. So, next time you find a funny or informative post on one of our social media accounts, you know who you have to thank for it.

The Member Jungle Learning Centre Continues To Grow

The Member Jungle Learning Centre is expanding and is becoming increasingly filled with helpful and educational content. In 2024, exactly 150 articles were published in the Learning Centre, and these articles received an impressive total of 46,799 views throughout the year.

Case Studies on Member Jungle Customers

Over the past year, I have been interviewing a bunch of Member Jungle customers about their experiences choosing, onboarding, and running their clubs with Member Jungle. What We Have In Store For The Year To Come

It’s going to be a busy year ahead, but a good one.
